It's a beautiful and WARM Sunday in San Francisco! I went to grab a coffee at Saint Frank in Russian Hill with my adorable friend Caitlin (@caitlinpangeras). We made an impromptu decision to walk and talk and ended up heading toward Fort Mason, which had a craft fair going on in the festival pavilion building (the farthest back) today. Along with coffee, we both love crafts and creativity so, ironically, the timing for the fair could not have worked out any better.
If you find yourself wanting to get out and about and go do something different today, I definitely suggest going over there to check it out. The fair going on today is called Renegade Craft Fair, and is a series of events around the country showcasing the best and brightest talents from the modern maker community. It’s a weekend-long celebration of DIY culture; a thoughtfully curated marketplace where shoppers and micro-entrepreneurs make meaningful connections. You'll be able to find more info on the website if you'd like to read more. Here's the Facebook link for the San Francisco event today for more information as well. From soy candles, to woodwork, to jewelry, dreamcatchers, clothes, indoor gardens, home decor and much more, you'll find a ton of amazing, handmade items that are typically only sold online on the seller's websites or on Etsy.
I picked up some adorable letterpress cards for every occasion from Wild Ink Press (@wildinkpress). The owner and designer, Rebekah Tennis, was helpful in helping Caitlin find some cute ones too for specific personality types for the people she had in mind!
I've also been seeking out a new diffuser the past few weeks, as you all probably know by now -- I'm constantly trying to make my cozy little apartment smell like heaven. I stumbled accross such a gem at the fair, and maybe my new favorite candle company! I got a reed diffuser from Pommes Frites Candle Co. (@pfcandleco). I got the Golden Coast scented one, and it is making my apartment smell absolutely amazing already -- I'm officially obsessed! It would make a wonderful Christmas gift -- if you'd like one to purchase, here is the link to the specific one I bought today (pictured below).
It was the perfect place to do some gift shopping for Christmas too. I found the perfect little gift for my dad, which I'll refrain from sharing in case he's reading this post (which he better be)! :) There are a ton of similar events coming up in the city, and in other cities!
